These terms apply to the iOS version of Minimal QR provided by chongyang shi (the “developer”). Read these terms and the privacy policy before using the app. The app is licensed under the Apple Standard EULA; this page provides additional information about features, purchases and use and does not replace that licence. Your non-excludable statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
02. Features and responsible use
The app provides QR scanning, creation, history management and export; some features require Pro. No app account is required. You must have the right to process, store and share the content you enter or scan, respect privacy and intellectual property, and not use the app for fraud, malicious content or unlawful activities.
QR codes are not encrypted. Contact or Wi-Fi codes may disclose personal information or passwords, so distribute them carefully. You retain your rights in your content; using the app does not transfer ownership of it to the developer.
03. Scan results and external services
A scan result is not a security certification of a website, merchant or content. Opening links, composing email or SMS, and sharing content are initiated by you and handled by system or third-party services. Check domains, recipients and content; external services have their own terms and privacy policies.
Recognition depends on image quality, device and code styling. Check the content and test codes before printing, payment or other important uses. The app does not guarantee that every style can be read by every device.
04. Pro purchases and automatic renewal
Pro offers monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions and a non-consumable lifetime purchase. Available products, local prices, currency and purchase conditions are shown in the App Store confirmation interface, and payment is handled through your Apple Account. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the current period ends; allow at least 24 hours for cancellation.
Cancelling renewal does not end access for the current paid period early. Lifetime purchases have no subscription expiry and include future local Pro updates; this does not promise indefinite operation, compatibility with every future system or access to future separate products. A lifetime purchase does not cancel an existing subscription; manage it separately to prevent further renewal.
05. Restoration, expiry and refunds
Purchasing, restoring and updating store status require internet access. Use the same Apple Account to restore valid access. Subscriptions work offline until the confirmed expiry; Pro pauses if renewal is unconfirmed and resumes after online confirmation. Lifetime access supports long-term offline use; refunds or revocations may remove the corresponding access.
Existing history, styles, favourites, names and presets remain after expiry, and free features remain available; editing or using Pro tools still requires valid access. See Apple Support to manage subscriptions and Apple Support to request a refund. Eligibility is governed by Apple’s rules and applicable law.
06. Data, changes and responsibility
Protect your device and keep copies of important exports. The app has no cloud sync or developer-side history recovery. Deleting records or the app, or device failure, may cause local data loss. See the privacy policy for details.
Features may change for maintenance, system compatibility or store requirements. Changes to these terms will be published here with an updated date; additional notice or consent will be provided where legally required. Any limitation of liability applies only as permitted by applicable law and the Apple Standard EULA and does not exclude liabilities or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.
