This policy applies to the iOS version of Minimal QR provided by chongyang shi. For privacy questions, contact seclionys@icloud.com. The app requires no account, provides no app cloud sync, integrates no advertising or developer-operated analytics, and has no developer server that receives QR contents.
02. Data processed on your device
Scanning and creation occur on your device; iOS recognition uses Apple Vision. The app stores QR contents, structured fields, source, creation time, names, favourites and styles locally for history, search, editing and export. Contents may include URLs, text, Wi-Fi names and passwords, contact information, email addresses or SMS text.
Images chosen as logos are copied into the app’s storage. Personal style presets and their separate logo copies, language, appearance, vibration, sound and recent-history display preferences are also stored locally. The app does not automatically upload these contents to the developer.
03. Camera and photo access
The camera is used to scan codes; photo selection is used to recognize existing images and choose logos; photo write access is used to save generated codes. System permissions or the photo picker control access when you use the relevant feature. You can manage or revoke access in iOS Settings. Denial affects the corresponding feature without requiring you to give up other available features.
Entering contact, email or SMS content does not require access to your system contacts and does not automatically send messages. The app does not send camera frames or images used for recognition to a developer server.
04. Purchases and Apple services
Purchasing, restoration and access updates use Apple StoreKit. The app verifies transactions on the device and stores product identifiers, transaction identifiers, expiry and entitlement status to unlock Pro and determine offline access. This cache uses system file protection and is excluded from backup. There is no developer receipt-validation server, and the developer does not receive your payment card details through the app.
Apple processes Apple Account, payment and store data. iOS system diagnostics, store services and other Apple services you enable are handled by Apple under its own rules; see the Apple Privacy Policy.
05. Sharing, external links and feedback
Copying writes content to the system clipboard. When you share or export, content is passed to your chosen app, file location or service. Web links open in a browser, and email or SMS actions open a system composer. Recipients process data under their policies; check the content and destination first.
In-app email feedback automatically includes only the app version and operating system name, not QR contents, history, images or device identifiers. You confirm sending; the app cannot determine whether an email was sent and does not store feedback in its database. Emails you send may include your email address, message and attachments. The developer processes them only to respond, troubleshoot and meet necessary legal obligations, and deletes them when no longer needed; email providers may retain copies under their policies.
06. Retention, backup and deletion
Local history remains until you delete records or delete the app. Clear local history removes history and unused history logo copies, but not preferences, style presets, preset logo copies or the purchase entitlement cache. After deleting a preset, its logo copy may remain for use by existing records. Fully deleting the app, rather than using Offload App which preserves data, normally removes data in its sandbox.
Ordinary history, logos and preferences are not all excluded from iOS system backups and may be saved or restored through your iCloud or computer backup. This differs from app-provided cloud sync. Manage existing backups through system or backup tools. Deleting the app or clearing history does not remove original photos, exported files, shared copies or transaction records held by Apple, and does not cancel subscriptions.
07. Security and your choices
The app uses the iOS sandbox for local data, but QR contents are not an encrypted medium, and data cannot be guaranteed safe if someone accesses or compromises your device. Use a device passcode and share sensitive codes carefully.
You can view, export or delete records in the app and revoke permissions in system settings. The developer cannot remotely read, modify or delete records held only on your device. For personal information you provide by email, contact seclionys@icloud.com to request access, correction or deletion, or exercise other applicable rights. Proportionate identity verification may be needed.
08. Children and policy updates
The app does not ask for age and is not intended to collect children’s personal information. Minors should use purchase and sharing features with a guardian’s guidance. Contact the developer if you believe a child has provided information by feedback email that should not be retained.
When data practices change, we will update this policy and its date, providing additional notice or obtaining consent where required by applicable law.
